NS Seniors: Top of the Morning to YaPosted Mar 15, 2017
Just about the only time of year when the pubs will open at 7:00am… and there are lineups!! Live bands are playing until well after midnight and we will be awash in green beer and Celtic music.
This year it falls on Friday – I’ll wager there will be more than a few offices somewhat short-staffed.
This year, the parade falls early – this Sunday (March 12th) along the entire length of Lower Water Street and ends at the Lower Deck for some fun and frivolity. Starts at 1pm… be there or be square!
The following is a list of events that are happening around town:
St. Paddy’s Day Dance
Fri., March 17, 8-11 p.m.
Door prizes, a bar with snacks and limited beverages and live music
Wood side Community Center, 230 Pleasant St., Dartmouth
Cheers Bar and Grill is making it a weekend with “Monkey’s Uncle” playing from the 16th-18th. 1743 Grafton St., Halifax
Durty Nelly’s opens at 7am for an old fashioned Irish breakfast and full time live music
The Old Triangle also opens at 7am and is celebrating with their usual flair for all things Irish. They feature live music all day – seven entertainers from 7am all the way to closing
Murphy’s on the Water is, again this year having a party…
As they say, “join us on what has always been the wildest day of the year – it’s time to show ’em how the East Coast celebrates St Patrick’s Day!”
When: Friday March 17, 2017 – 3pm-12am
Where: 1751 Lower Water Street, Halifax
